In summary about the protection of your personal data
The present Hôtel de Buci personal data protection policy is an appendix to the GTC ("General Terms and Conditions") and is therefore contractually binding. In the event of any contradiction between the GTC and the present policy, the GTC shall take precedence, which the user of our sites acknowledges and accepts.
This personal data protection policy reflects Hôtel de Buci's desire to be completely transparent with site users about how it manages their personal data and incorporates the latest requirements arising from applicable legislation and regulations, and in particular the European Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data (RGPD).

Article 1. What is the purpose of the Personal Data Protection Policy?
The purpose of this Personal Data Protection Policy is to inform Users of the manner in which Hôtel de Buci manages the personal data of users of its websites, whether or not they are customers (hereinafter "Users").

According to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, personal data is "any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter referred to as a "data subject") ; "An 'identifiable natural person' is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier, such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to his or her physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity."

Article 4. Who has access to the User's personal data?
The only recipients of Users' personal data are :
- the relevant departments and employees of Hôtel de Buci and the Biografy group (in particular: IT, sales/marketing and operational departments) who are bound by specific data protection obligations;
- companies assisting Hôtel de Buci in the operation and/or exploitation of the sites;
- Our hotels' subcontractors.
These structures only receive personal information that is strictly necessary for booking and calling back customers.
The processing of personal data by these structures is carried out in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations.
Article 5. What rights do Users have concerning the personal data collected?
The User has access to the rights detailed in Chapter III of the RGPD, including the following rights:
- Right of access to personal data collected on the Website
- Right to modify/rectify them,
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"), unless there is a legal reason to keep it,
- Right to restrict processing, i.e. the right to ask us in certain cases to suspend the processing of personal data,
- Right to data portability, i.e. the right to request a copy of personal data in a common format (e.g. a .csv file),
- Right to object to the processing of personal data,
- Rights relating to individual decision-making and profiling, i.e. the right to ask us to be transparent about any profiling we carry out or any automated decisions,
All of these rights apply to data processing carried out via the Hôtel de Buci site and requesting personal information (registration forms, contact requests, reservation confirmations, etc.). The User also has the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale Informatique et Libertés (CNIL), the supervisory authority for data protection issues in France(www.cnil.fr).
However, Hôtel de Buci would like to have a chance to address your concerns before you contact the CNIL. So please contact us first.
Article 6. For how long are personal data collected?
Users' personal data is stored in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Article 7. How are personal data protected?
Hôtel de Buci is very vigilant about the security of personal data and takes all reasonable precautions to prevent any unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of personal data.
Personal data collected is stored by Hôtel de Buci or its service providers, and is protected by physical and electronic access controls, firewall technologies and other reasonable security measures.
Such measures cannot, however, prevent all risks of loss, access, misuse or alteration of the personal information collected. Where required by law, Hôtel de Buci will notify the User of any loss, access, misuse or alteration of his or her personal data, so that the User may take the appropriate steps to enforce his or her rights. Hôtel de Buci will notify the User by electronic or postal means or by telephone, if authorized by law.
The User is asked not to transmit payment information or sensitive information by e-mail or in sections not intended for this purpose (for example, sending a credit card number by e-mail).
The User is also informed that he/she always has the possibility of choosing the personal data he/she wishes to provide.
Nevertheless, his decision not to transmit certain data could alter his experience of the services. For example, we cannot make anonymous reservations and, if we are not authorized to disclose your personal data to the hotels in our group, we may find ourselves unable to provide certain reservation or other services.
Similarly, if the User does not authorize us to disclose his/her personal data to third parties, such as Hôtel de Buci's subcontractors (transfer service, concierge service, etc.), we may not be able to provide all possible services or the provision of such services may be delayed. We will do our best to respond to your request as quickly as possible.

According to the French Data Protection Authority (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés), a cookie is a piece of information deposited on the User's means of access by the server of the website or application visited.
